Tindalos: DM
Apo: V'ram'r - a Drachar Richard Cunningham: Kerbasi - a Litorian Carol Cunningham: Faelan - a Sebbecai Dude: Kileen Pish'ed - a Verrik Akashic Wherein the heroes recover from their battle with the market raiders in the slums. Extracts of the journals of Kileen Pi'shed dated 16th of Tenthmonth in the year 1759 AD. Our band was rescued by the Hu'Charad and a Sebbecai on horseback ordered us all to Castle Vanguard. Once inside the courtyard the gates were barred shut and those injured were healed whilst we waited to be questioned. During our interrogation by the Lady Steward Eia Perren she informed me that the creatures which attacked us were Akthar. She then informed everyone gathered that the Peace Wall Gates would be closed until further notice and a harsh justice would meet those who trespassed. A voice of concern was raised about "Foothold", a merchant settlement in the heart of the slums, they would be informed but otherwise no military relief would be sent. We returned to Rufus' shop where we were rewarded with 55 Queens each after re-equipping myself with a full quarrel of bolts and a small notebook to record my findings. we were reccommended to visit a tavern called the Grinning Boar frequented by Patrons of The Tower of Boundless Knowledge. It was here that I discovered Kerbasi's reasons for visiting the city, he was searching for a mogue called Tirilen who he claimed had murdered his brother. Our band separated, V'ram'r and I decided to visit the Dragon Kovacatharis and inform him of the days events in the slums and the Hu'Charad response to the Akthar threat. Our first visit to the castle of Kovacatharis was greeted with suspicion and we got no further than a doorstep audience with Captain of the Guard Ulrakar. We returned to the Guard Tower for the night. The next morning at breakfast a company of Hu'Charad arrested the sebbecai and the Litorian, we trailed our friends to the Eia Perren's Castle Vanguard. Without an option we went straight to Kovacatharis to plead our case for his aid in their release. The Dragon already wanted to speak with us an had sent guards to fetch us. A huge and impressive black dragon, Kovacatharis told us that the agents of chaos led by Tirilen the mogue were holed up in the slums and were looking for a Tenebrian Seed, a legendary item which the dragons have used in the past to create new races such as the Dracha and the Dremogue. It cannot be allowed to fall into the wrong hands. In return for retrieving the seed I would be rewarded with 2,000 Queens and the cure to the Verrik curse. We returned to the Guard Tower Inn and awaited the return of our friends. They had also discovered that Tirilen was in the city and that he was trying to find the Seed. Kerbasi wanted the seed for himself and was prepared to spill blood to ensure that he was it's rightful owner. As we talked I wondered if we had become pawns in a great game between the two masters of this city Eia Perren and Kovacatharis... |
